The Millwork Night Market season concludes this week.

The market’s closing night will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, on Jackson Street between East Seventh and East Ninth streets, according to an online announcement.

A new steakhouse focusing on promoting local livestock operations has opened in southwest Wisconsin.

Madison Street Steakhouse & Grill recently opened at 103 N. Madison Street in Lancaster. The steakhouse is open Thursday and Friday evenings and serves a variety of steaks and sandwiches.

Galena ARC to host adult cooking classes

Galena Art and Recreation Center will host several adult cooking classes later this fall.

Retired culinary instructor and dietitian Lynn Kaufman will lead couples’ cooking classes from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27 and Dec. 1 at Galena ARC, 11084 W. U.S. 20., according to the ARC website.
